• Look, gang, right off the bat… any server that goes down under 4000 hits in a few hours isn’t worth much.  Are we clear on this?
  • For those of you complaining about Bush’s Global Warming day speech… Gang, I keep telling you the guy’s not a conservative, but at best a centrist…  and you’ve gotta expect stuff like this from a centrist. Do you believe me now? And yes, I supported him because he was the better choice, given we had to chose from him or Al Gore and  John Kerry.  How good need one be to look better than either of THOSE two? By the way, there’s a lot of stuff about that in the BitsBlog Newsroom. Link is at the top of this page.
  • The Popemobile rolls on.  I’m happy he’s here, if for no other reason than we get to discuss the matter.  I got into it over at OTB, yesterday with James and a few of the regulars. Long time readers of this blog will recognize elements of the discussion. Watch for the reactions, though. I’m not sure James knows what to make of my arguments. He’s tolerated me for this long, so I don’t see it changing, soon… just as well. I was rather hoping he’d take a more active role in that discussion. I gather there are a lot of peple who feel the way James does on this particular issue, but do so on less than… what shall I say… Fully logicall grounds.  I guess that’s close enough a description for the moment, though hat’s not quite spot on, either.
  • Lunch is served… and it’s on Scott Erb. He’s exposed himself as a clueless liar before, but never so easily as he does here. I wonder if I should forward a copy of the discussion to U Maine? By the way, I’ll be putting something together on the topic of the Oil Bubble this weekend. Oh, speaking of which….
  • I’ll be guesting for the weekend at Conservative Reader. Art’s going to be busy this weekend and has asked me to stand in.
  • Jack Murtha  who has been showing sure signs of senility for years, thinks John McCain is too old to be President? Laughable.
  • Is it too soon to predict that McCain is going to be the next POTUS? I think not, if what we see this morning is of any indication.  Jonah notes that there wasn’t much on issues, last night. Hey, Jonah… why should that be a shock? When have issues come up at all, in the Democrat primary, thusfar? After all, you really can’t fit water between Obama’s policies and Clinton’s… so what is left to argue about?  Image. Who can give away more OPM. Neither Hillary Clinton Or Barrack Obama did themselves any favors, last night.  Nor is the left side of the sphere this morning for that matter. I’ve got a message for them, too.   Look, guys, I know you’re all pissed off at the news media who you think is acting like they’re all right wing stooges… (Laughable, given one of them worked in the Clinton White House)  but you need to consider that the press last night was considerably less hostle to Obama and Clinton, than the republicans are going to be in the General Election. This stuff has been out there for months, now, and some of it longer… and they’ve never been pressed on the matter.  Quit your bellicose whining for ten seconds and, strain that it is,  try thinking for that period of time… and let’s get with the reality of the thing….   If he folds up like a wet paper airplane in front of the freindly crowd in that room last night, what do you figure is going to happen in the general election?  Sheesh.
  • Just down the road in Utica, NY, sits John Zogby, who says that the PA primary is deadlocked. Since the polling is too fast for last night’s events to have absorbed, yet, one might safely assume that the Democrat party to be finding both Obama and Hillary Clinton equally unattractive, before last night’s debate. With that debate added to the mix? We’ll see in the next couple days, won’t we?
  • By the way, speaking of Obama and questionable relationships, how am I to take the news that Hamas likes Obama?
  • 70’s and blue skies around here today and yesterday. I’m not complaining.
  • Gotta love someone who has reality clearly identified.
  • They’ve apparently discovered the world’s oldest tree, in Sweeden.  they figure it’s 10000 years old. One of the things the tree suggests is that when the thing was planted, summers were warmer than they are now.  So much for global warming. Quick, someone tell the Presdient.
  • Finally, tonight, what the blinking hell is Fox News thinking, putting up the headline Ex-polygamist on Texas sect wives ? I mean, is group sex something they can POST on their website?
