LOS ANGELES – (AP)-The U.S. Department of Agriculture on Sunday recalled 143 million pounds of frozen beef from a Southern California slaughterhouse that is being investigated for mistreating cattle.

Berkley, poetic justice:
BERKELEY, Calif. – (Fox News) The tab for just overtime pay for Berkeley cops to keep the peace at Tuesday’s Marine protest outside City Hall was reported to be $93,000.
According to the San Francisco Chronicle, about 140 Berkeley police worked at the protest, which drew more than 2,000 demonstrators. Anti-war groups such as Code Pink mixed with pro-military groups, rallied over whether lawmakers should change their anti-Marine position.
If it wee proposed to fine the City of Berkley ninety-three thousand dollars, the ACLU types woiuld throw a hissy fie. Yet the practical effect of having to pay police overtime is much the same, minus the leftarded moaning.
