Last couple days it’s been around 65 here during the day. Unusually warm. The new weather front came in this morning, with a thunderstorm packing 75MPH winds. You can imagine that power’s a little iffy, today.

Isn’t that from an old The Mamas and The Papas song?

Close.
The Association, actually.
I say ‘Close” because their producer in each case was the Jusifiably famous Bones Howe… and as a reslt their sounds, particularly their vocals, were fairly similar.

I had this temptation to say the Association, but I have the belief that the only song Association did was Cherish. That was back when I listened to music, i.e. the Bronze Age.

Well, let’s see… Off the top of my head, their better known stuff is as follows:
“Everything that touches you”
“Windy”
“Cherish”
“Goodbye Columbus”
“Never my Love”
“Time For Livin'”
Best album: “Insight Out” which is the album Windy is on.

“Along Came Mary”, 1966. Heck the band peaked before I graduated from high school. It was the Johnson adninistration. Egads, that’s a long time ago.
