AP Speaks with Forked Tongue, Al Sadr Runs

Julie Hirschfeld Davis engages in Orwellian double speak:

WASHINGTON Feb 13, 2007 -(AP [1])-

(…)

Determined to send an unambiguous and bipartisan message of disapproval for the troop buildup, Democrats moved Monday night to block Republicans from proposing any alternative, including one that would have guaranteed funding for U.S. forces in Iraq.

It is impossible to send a unambigouis and bipartisan message by stifling free speech and cutting off debate. In the mean time, while the ‘rats debate cut and run, Moqtada al Sadr has taken the ‘rat’s advice and cut n run himself:

Moqtada al Sadr Feb. 13, 2007 -(ABC News [2])- The story tonight in Iraq is not the arrival of more U.S. troops, but the departure of one of the country’s most powerful men, Moqtada al Sadr and members of his army.

According to senior military officials al Sadr left Baghdad two to three weeks ago, and fled to Tehran, Iran, where he has family.

While Mrs. Pelosi is having trouble getting her msssage out, Moqtada al Sadr got Dubya’s message loud and clear.

Update: (Bit)

But note where he ran TO….

Feb. 13, 2007 —ABC- [2] While members of the U.S. House of Representatives take turns weighing in on President Bush’s planned troop surge in Iraq, the focus in Iraq is not on the arrival of more U.S. troops, but the departure of one of the country’s most powerful men, Moqtada al Sadr and members of his army.

According to senior military officials, al Sadr left Baghdad two to three weeks ago and fled to Tehran, Iran, where he has family.

Now, remember that story we saw yesterday regarding the link between terrorism in Iraq, and the Iranians? [3]
