In 2001, Murtha announced the creation of Scialabba’s nonprofit agency for the disabled in Johnstown, Pa. The next year, with Scialabba still on his staff, Murtha secured a half-million dollars for the group, the Pennsylvania Association for Individuals With Disabilities (PAID), and put another $150,000 in the pipeline for 2003, according to appropriations committee records and former committee aides. Since then, the group has helped hundreds of disabled people find work.

That arrangement over the years has yielded millions of dollars in federal support for the contractors, businesses and universities, and hundreds of thousands in consulting and lobbying fees to Murtha’s favored lobbying shops, according to Federal Election Commission records and lobbying disclosure forms. In turn, many of PAID’s directors have kept Murtha’s campaigns flush with cash.
Send Mrs. Pelosi a message that it is time to drain her democrat swamp. Corrupt congressmen and like Murtha and of Alan B. Mollohan need to go

No, David, it’s worse than that.
Turn the players around, and let’s imagine that the press had even hinted that any Republican… say, since this is Pennsylvania, Rick Santorum, had such connections, and was getting funding from such sources.
Does anyone think that Queen Nancy wouldn’t be screaming for the senator to be serving jail time for his crime? My god, the most dangerous place on the planet would be between her and a microphone held by the mainstream media.
If Nancy Pelosi had one scintilla of integrity, she personally would be demanding Murtha’s resignation and would be pressing prosecutors to bring him up on charges with the serious jail time attached to such charges.
But we both know, she does not. Nancy Pelosi dare not take off the far left over own party, who is in full support of Murtha and his antics, because of his ‘Cut and Run’ strategy on Iraq.   Therefore, this entire situation is going to be buried. You know it, I know it, and worst of all, Nancy Pelosi’s supporters know it.
But you’ll never see that pointed out in the mainstream press.

I hate to have to say this, but I did get the article from the Washington Post, sort of a main stream outlet. Than having said that, I don’t expect the Post to wage a Macacca style jihad. I do expect that Mrs. Pelosi will have an interesting two year tenure as speaker.

I wasn’t referrring so much to Murtha’s criome being mentioned.
I was referring to the analysis of the problem, and the paper pointing out that the problem is getting ignored by Pelosi.
