I guess I consider O’Donnel to be a female counterpart to Andrew Sullivan.. both being professional homosexuals. I do not for the life of me understand what else each brings to the party, that has so focused the spotlight on them, either individually, or collectively.
The both of them, seemingly, have made rather a lot of money… a very nice living, thank you, being exactly that… wearing their homosexuality on their sleeve. Everything else about them, it seems to me, follows that one point. Their very credibility in the political world, would seem to flow from that one aspect.

I do not concur with the comparison of Rosie O’Donnell with Andrew Sullivan. While both are loud, egocentric and sexually obsessed, Sullivan has in the past demontrated the ablity to be serious. O’Donnell never has. You are of course rihgt that both are professional apologists for their chosen lifestyles. Yet only Sullivan retains the capacity to occassionally lucid.

Your point is well taken. My judgment, is based in part on an assumption; I made the assumption that of Donnell must’ve at some point have the capacity to be serious. To make it in Hollywood, after all, one must have that ability, at least when the spot lights are off.
On that basis I hold the comparison valid, I knew that they both at one time had the capacity to be serious and sober, and lost it.
