When John Kerry disparged the intelligence of our American Fighting Men, it was said that Kerry botched a joke. Yet was it really a botched joke or just the standard democrat position?. The incoming chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee, Charlie Rangel, said much the same thing on Fox Newsm, “If a young fellow has an option of having a decent career, or joining the Army to fight in Iraq, you can bet your life that he would not be in Iraq,” [1]
Being a former serviceman, as both Rangel or Kerry are, or having served with honor as Rangel did, does not give anybody the right to insult American Fighting Men. These are better men than you Charlie and John. It is long past time you started showing them the respect they have earned.
