The AP’s Rovert Ried is reporting [1]
“BAGHDAD, Iraq (AP) – Iraqi militants claimed in a Web statement Tuesday to have taken an American soldier hostage and threatened to behead him in 72 hours unless the Americans release Iraqi prisoners.
However, there is, as the Knights who say “Nee” once suggested, one small problem.
His head. It’s too small. Have a look.
And to boot the lighting on his face is all wrong.
Add that to the idea that I’m seeing no confirmation from outside this rather dubious Arab extremist website, and it adds up to a fake.
Sorry, no sale. I can be convinced, if there’s more of it about. But I don’t see it at the moment.
