Robert Burns, who writes about Military affrais for AP says this morning that Rumsfeld tried to resign twice to remove the heat from President Bush and the President wouldn’t accept his resignation. This tosses a wrench into the claims of the anti-Bush, anti-Rumsfeld people, seems to me.
