“BAGHDAD, Iraq – A group of armed, masked Iraqi men threatened Tuesday to kill Jordanian militant Abu Musab al-Zarqawi (search) if he did not immediately leave the country, accusing him of murdering innocent Iraqis and defiling the Muslim religion. ”
I must admit being torn here.
While I find it quite encouraging that the Iraqis are starting to get behind movements like this, I wonder how this plays off with keeping the terrorists all in one bin marked “Iraq”, which was, you’ll recall I”ve commented, the bit of genius behind going to Iraq in the first place. One wonders where Zarqawi and his happy band of wandering murderers will end up, assuming htey take these threats seriously.
