Boortz brings up an interesting point, almost as an afterthought, this morning. He says in part:

“Intelligence experts say that Al Qaeda may have agents who are fully trained airline pilots now working for foreign airlines.  What if one of these pilots on their way to the U.S. intended to fly their aircraft into, let’s say, the U.S. Capitol.  Those reinforced cockpit doors would keep anyone from getting on the flight deck to stop him.  Result?  One shot-down airliner.”

This goes to the idea of having one hidden, plainclothes armed guard on the plane, as I suggested right after 9/11. Not armed pilots, armed guards… possibly military. (And I think it would be better so)
